How To Deal With Technical Issues In Network Marketing
Can you relate to this, you are on a business call using skype and you lose connection in the middle of a crucial part of your conversation, leaving the person hanging on the other end. You are in the middle of setting up a system online and you have spent countless hours on it and your computer crashes. Or you go to use some software that you haven’t used for awhile, pop in your password (or what you think is your password) and you get a big ACCESS DENIED. Aaaagh! What to do.
This is really a small snippet of some of the challenges that I have experienced and really do on a regular basis running my online business. I am sure that you would have countless other stories to tell, as we all do, it is just an occupational hazard of running a business from home and relying on technology. Over time, I have built up my muscle for dealing with these daily occurences and really don’t get to frazzled anymore.
Here are some tips for you to deal with those moments that are maybe meant to challenge you, and often from which you learn:-
- Ask for help- this means reach out to your mentor, teammates or even go to your social networks for help like facebook or twitter. You will be simply amazed at the response that you can get from virtual strangers
- Google it!- sounds simple but a lot of people forget to go to this awesome search engine for answers.
- Remember not to take yourself to seriously, try to have a laugh. ask yourself is it really the end of the world that you can’t work out how to do a PPC campaign.
- Go and find a video on You Tube- there is such an abundance of videos available now on any subject imaginable. I have found you tube fantastic, especially as I am a very visual person and can easily follow along.
- Take a break, often just walking a way from your computer, going for a walk, ringing a friend or doing a little meditation is all that is needed to clear your mind and allow the space for a solution to surface.
- Try to always focus on what is good in your life and you will find, that by making that your point of attraction, then more good things will flow your way.
I would love you to share below any useful tips that have assisted you in your business, after all we are all here to help each other.
Have a great day and remember to BREATHE!

Oh I loved this post Deirdre! I can soooooooo identify… You have also provided us with some awesome ways to deal with the frustration that can arise at these times. I have to admit I use Google a lot for answers. Another good place to look for help is on forums as people are always ready and willing to help. One of the best de-stressers as you say it is just to ‘let it go’ and often when we do this an idea will emerge that is helpful. Thank you.

Hi Deirdre,
I can totally relate, online issues can get so frustrating at times and although throwing the computer out the window would feel so good, it’s not the best option!
I google everything these days, there seems to be some sort of an answer out there somewhere. I agree with Marcus about forums. Someone else may have had the same problem and had it answered there or ask the forum your question, you may get more help than you needed!
Don’t sweat the small stuff!

Wow. I think you were talking to Me! Technology has ALWAYS got me on my toes. I love all of your advice. My favorite ones is ‘Ask for help’, I so often would waste so much time trying to figure things out instead of asking a friend that would be glad to help. My other favorite is ‘Walk Away’. This has been so effective for me. If I leave for a little bit I can think so much clearer and save myself a lot of time when I try again.
It’s easy to let the little stresses overwhelm us and get in the way of our overall goal,Building our Business.

Aaah this Goddess has to admit to more than a few hissy fits and meltdowns when the techie stuff doesn’t work!!
But next time, I intend to call up this post and work through your suggestions ~ although I do have to say that a few pieces of chocolate should be in amongst them!
Great post, and great advice.

This is just so awesome Deirdre. As you know from some of my blog posts I sit in front of computers all day long as I’m editing my TV shows. So, needless to say, I get frustrated quite often. I agree with you whole-heartedly … BREATHE and LIGHTEN UP. Its just a tech problem / computer issue and should be treated as such. NOT YOUR FAULT. I love this post. Thanks D.
